As a Certified Professional Coach (CPC) and a family systems therapist, Megan has created paths for families to collaboratively work together to solve problems that stem from rigidity.  Here are some examples:

  • Smart kids, who don’t do well in school

  • Kids who know what to do before hand, but can’t do it when needed and then know what they should have done, after it is over

  • Stuck worries (that won’t go away)

  • Challenges with refusing to do a disliked task (over and over again)

  • Going in circles over the same problems (getting ready in the morning, homework, bedtime, etc.)

  • Making a friend, then losing a friend; over and over again

Through her signature technique Linear Strategies for Linear Thinkers, many families have found ways to create cooperation and a smoother life at home.

Megan Focuses on Two Paths:

Linear Strategies for Linear Thinkers Path

  • Monthly in-person small group to focus on one glitch and decode it in a way that makes sense to your child (making friends)

  • Mastery Class only taught 4 times per year, intensive approach to learning tools, practicing them in a real life setting and then crafting a unique strategy to fit your child

  • Parent Problem Solving Hour is a small group experience based on a topic, Linear Tools and then open for a discussion

  • Parenting Linear Thinkers individual time for parents to bring current challenges and learn Linear Strategies to assist their child (and the rest of the family)

Building Bridges: How to Communicate and Work with Your School

  • Zoom Presentations

  • Small group experiences on key information to improve collaboration for your child’s needs

  • 504 Plan Parent Advocacy

  • Explanation of what a 504 Plan can do

  • How to go through the steps in an organized and    effective way

  • What to do after you get your answer to maximize the effectiveness of the plan you created

As a published author, her books, Could My Child Have Sensory Issues? The Little Book of Parenting Tools and A Parenting Strategy to Help You Raise Happy and Cooperative Children (with Kathleen Todd) can be found on Amazon.com.

When she isn’t coaching, she finds plenty of paths to explore through hiking, reading and learning new things.  She is always curious and exploring.   She especially enjoys doing this with her family, friends and dog, Cami.

“My favorite thing about coaching is the vast opportunities to build on what you already know; taking the time with you to look at complex problems in a new way, and helping you to create your own changes.  My ultimate goal is to leave you with the knowledge of how to decode a stuck situation, where to put your energy and how to not rush to the next thing.  Sometimes we forget how important it is to enjoy the progress, instead of solving the next problem.”
